Mommy Dearest

Please join us for our next Truth Be Told Storytelling event on Friday, May 27th at 8pm at United Parish. Truth Be Told Storytelling is an opportunity to hear and share real stories. Each performer has 5 minutes to tell their story based on the monthly theme. 

The theme for Friday, May 27th is “Mommy Dearest!”  Please join us to tell your true stories of motherhood, moms, and mother figures in your life.  We want to hear your stories whether they are good, bad, or ugly!

Ideally, we would like to have ten (10) storytellers for this event.  At this point we are in need of storytellers.  If you feel called to tell your story, please e-mail us at TruthBeToldBoston@gmail.com so we can put you on the storyteller list.  We will also have a sign-up sheet the evening of the show for those that show up and decide they want to tell their story.

This event is open to the public. You do not need to be affiliated with the United Parish in order to attend or perform at this event.

Foolish Ways

The April Truth Be Told Storytelling event will be held at 8PM on April 29th, 2011.


The theme for April 29th is "Foolish Ways."  Please join us to tell or listen to true stories of foolishness!  If you have done something that would cause Mr. T to point and say, "I pity the fool!" or if you or someone you know did something so foolish that they should have been forced to wear a dunce cap, we want to hear from you!

Just My Luck!

The March Truth Be Told Storytelling event will be held at 8PM on March 25, 2011.

Come share a true story about luck (good luck, bad luck, strange luck, etc.) with a live audience!  Whether you have a tale about how you were lucky caller number 99 on a radio show to win monster truck tickets or perhaps you wish to recount your insatiable urge to test your luck by walking under ladders and breaking mirrors, we want to hear your story!

Love Stories

Join us for our first official "Truth Be Told!" event on February 25th at 8pm.

Share your Love Stories with a live audience!  Whether you have an epic tale of romance and intrigue, a heartfelt lament on unrequited love, or just an anecdote about your unhealthy infatuation with noshing on donuts while watching fitness programs, we want to hear your story.

We would love to have at least 10 performers per show.  If you’re interested in performing, please contact us a day ahead of time so we can add your name to the list.  We’ll also have a standby list for those who just show up and want to perform.
