April 13, 2012: Old Chestnuts!

Join us for the next Truth Be Told! Storytelling event on Friday, April 13th  at 8pm at the United Parish located at 210 Harvard Street in Brookline, MA - near the Coolidge Corner stop on the Green "C" line and on the MBTA #66 Bus.

What's an "Old Chestnut"?? It is one of those stories told over and over at gatherings of friends or family.  Everyone has a zillion of those stories that often start off with the words “Remember when...”  Then everyone nods, gives a little chuckle or sigh, for they know what is coming next, but lean in more closely to listen intently to that good ol’ tale.

Tell your true story in five minutes, with no notes,  to a friendly intimate audience that will lean in closely, and listen intently.

Ideally, we would like to have ten (10) storytellers for this event.  If you want to share your story, or if you would like more information, please email us at truthbetoldboston@gmail.com so we can put you on the storyteller list.  We will also have a sign-up sheet the evening of the show for those that show up and decide they want to tell their story.

Your free-will donation in April ($5 per person suggested) will go to the Joseph M. Smith Community Health Center. http://www.jmschc.org/

This event is open to the public sponsored by the United Parish. You do not need to be affiliated with the United Parish in order to attend or perform at this event.  All proceeds are donated to charity, and the total amount raised at the event is matched by the United Parish.
